The Garrett County Historical Society combines many facets of Garrett County History into two museums with wide-ranging displays and presentations. The Garrett County History Museum features a variety of artifacts that will take you through generations of Garrett County History.

The Garrett County Museum of Transportation opened in 2011. It features automobiles, boats, the history of Deep Creek Lake, and rotating exhibits.
